Frito-Lay Incorporated operates a manufacturing facility in York Pennsylvania.

FCE assisted Frito-Lay in expanding their existing facility and revamping their loading facilities. In addition Frito-Lay needed a facility to store their trailers and stage them for their over the road haulers to pick-up and drop-off.

The existing manufacturing site had loading docks that sloped away from the building at an unacceptable level. FCE redesigned the concrete landing pads and access ramps to insure a snug fit up against the dock doors. A tight seal is necessary in a food processing operation. FCE also performed all of the site engineering for the 13,000 square foot building expansion.

The Trailer Staging facility is located 1/2 mile from the main plant and allows Frito-Layto have the parking capacity to store and stage 118 of their 53’ trailers. Access to this new site required the installation of a traffic signal coordinated by FCE and TRG.
