Windsor Commons Shopping Center

Windsor Commons is a commercial shopping center located inWindsor Township, York County. The shopping center has a Giant grocery store as its main anchor.

Windsor Commons has 199,410 square feet of leasable retail space provided within the confines of the shopping centers main building cluster. Additionally the site was designed to have 6 outparcels that could be developed separately and add additional total area to the center.

FCE provided engineering services for the entire project from concept to municipal approvals. The project involved Highway Occupancy Permits to be issued from the Pennsylvania Department of Highways for the three access points all of which exit onto State roads.

A site of this size generates a large amount of stormwater that needs to be controlled. Windsor Commons uses 3 separate detention facilities to accomplish this task.

Sanitary sewer disposal required that a pump station be designed to carry the required flows from the site into the exiting sanitary system owned by the municipal authority.
