United Natural Foods, Inc. Distribution Center
The United Natural Foods, Inc. (UNFI) Distribution Center is located in the Greenspring Industrial Park, which is approximately 170.31 acres in size and is bounded by the Susquehanna Trail and Green Springs Road. UNFI distributes speciality and organic foods. First Capital Engineering served as the civil engineer for the entire industrial park project.
In the May 6, 2011 edition of the Central Penn Business Journal, the United Natural Foods Distribution Center was named the Second Largest Green Building in Central PA. The buidling received a LEED rating of GOLD; Green features include a 40% reduced water use through motion sensors and flow control.
